UTILIZATION

configuration is as minimalist and effective. faultless.

SOUNDS

the sound is vintage wish and just beautiful, no matter the settings ... we feel that the lamps are not there to decorate like some hybrid amplifiers. The only downside is the rendering of a cry baby in the effects loop, too flashy, it will prefer to put it before taking input.

OVERALL OPINION

Following my various adventures and varied (CF promomusic on the forum) I finally managed to get it, and I do not regret my purchase. despite its particularity, there is always versatile with the same grain in the background .. a good approach to the perfect amp.

Tube amps, 2 X 12AX7 preamp and 2 in X 6V6 power (not open so I do not know the animal from the Chinese ... certainly!)

Power of 5 W in 15W swtichable for home use and night

Single channel, the channel "crunch" (or drive) is activated via footswitch or Switch using a tube screamer built ... there is interest!

UTILIZATION

Simple setup, plug, turn all the knobs a bit and it sounds ... no problem!

The equalizer is as simple as it reacts very well and is very effective! all is simple and is just fine!

SOUNDS

Integrated with the TS, it sounds very roots oriented blues-rock 60/70 '... The TS undeniably integrated color the grain of this amp, so recognizable.

It's no Fender or Marshall ... it is rich! Beautiful, sweet treble and bass perfectly round.

very positive: the amp responds well to a vast majority of other fuzz overdrive and placed upstream (5 Catalinbread for me, VFE Pedals, Devi Ever ...)

Why not?

Tube amp (preamp 2x12AX7et 2x6V6 power lamps), 15W switchable to 5, a built-TS, a loop, making footswich (not included) multiple outputs, 4.8 to 16 Ohms.
The settings are can not be more simple, low volume and Trebble + gain and tone for the TS (and volume).

UTILIZATION

Is lit, allowed to heat up, and go! Not need the manual (except for the usual precautions and use the effects loop for beginners).

5-W is a real treat for train home, and 15 more than enough to play with a group with an additional boost, certainly not very strong, which comes into its own with the activated Ts. (Be careful it's not an amp for metal!)

I play a Mexican Start all there is more standard, the cabinet is that of Epihone Valve Junior head which I kept and which is more than satisfactory with the TSA 15.
I tried a lot of amp in the last 10 years before this one, I started on a transistor with Peavey Bandit 112 and a Roland cube 30 W (I always), an Epiphone Valve Junior Head + cabinet (excellent but too limited group), and a Peavey Classic 30.

I hesitated between the Orange and the model it. And I must confess that when the salesman showed me this model, I was particularly skeptical.

My playing style is very broad - reggae, pop, rock etc French-but still more oriented Clapton, Vaughan, Led Zep ', (and just about everything from the blues from John Lee Hooker to rock the 80's) This convinced me, it sounds clear, a bit less aggressive than in Orange, really hot. Start with one, it's perfect. Indeed, it is not as crystalline as a Fender amp, but for me, that's what I wanted.

I use a Boss ME-50 pedalboard loop for reverb (hall), chorus and delay, the TS for distos, and I can tell you that 15 W with the volume to 3 / 4, c ' is a treat with the group. remains only the SM subculture with a good 57 if you want to make the scene.

It is still better cut low, especially for the blues-rock.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 3 months now, and for reliability, no problem, I see anyway to change the cabinet Epihpone (Eminence) for a Marshall with Celestion.

* I tried a Peavey Classic 30 (used) by this model, but the clean sounds were not as hot (more than a technical problem).
* An Orange Tiny Terror, very nice, but the presence of Ts in Ibanez is still a difference. Then clean sounds ... clean sounds! It's really not the same.

The price / quality ratio is very good, although I bought mine a bit expensive for my taste. but hey, at the same time, I prefer to go through a real store and get good advice buying online.
While I regret the absence of a good reverb, I'm really surprised by this brand (which I never thought for my 2nd amp lamp) and I would definitely do it again this election.

Config very simple and complete!
clean sounds are pretty good with my speakers 112 or 212 equipped with V30 (without fenderiens)
boosted channel is simply beautiful for classic rock sounds, from blues to heavy rock. I find the TS better than the pedal of the same name.
Boost helpful.
5 W's are one solution for home or a small battery-free session.
The 15 W OK to repeat in full (half knobs for me) and OK for small clubs.

SOUNDS

Start with the sounds I get clear enough. Jackson with my or my Les Paul Custom G, ouawouh, it's amazing.
(I have other tube amp much more powerful, though.)
In my opinion it goes beyond the little heads vox, orange or other, possibilities and options! he equal in sound! all this for less.
For the made in china, my policy is to try to mag! it can be very good or missed ... A test we know what we buy no blind trust.

OVERALL OPINION

Ibanez has created a small all-tube amp head almost perfect, including what was missing to vox, orange, and other blackstar 5 / 15 W, and a great price. Bravo.

The first thing I think of when I think of Ibanez music company is there TS9 tube screamer pedal. This is one of the highly used distortion pedals on the market today. This pedal has been one of the most frequented pedals for touring musicians and recording musicians. Ibanez also builds very good and low priced guitars. This is one of the first amplifiers that I've seen from Ibanez.

This is a 15 W guitar amplifier that has a good tube screamer sound within it. This amp features two 6v6 power tubes and 2 12ax7 preamp tubes. This has a genuine tube screamer circuit built in that the front end of this amplifier. The controls consist of tube screamer overdrive tone level as well as the normal EQ control knobs such as travel base and volume. This is missing the middle controlled on but it doesn't really need it. Your side to switch to switch it from the 15 W of power all the way down to 5 W of power for a better handle on your volume issues. This allows you to play with the higher crunch tone at eight more silent playing level.

SOUNDS

If you like the tone of a Ibanez tube screamer and you'll like the sound of this camp. If you want more a high gain amplifier this is not good to be the amplifier for you. This is going to be the nice clean distortion the fine for me TS9 pedal. The tone is exactly like a tube screamer so if that is your thing and this might be the camp for you. This amp works very well in conjunction with its matching 12 speaker cabinet. You can plug this amp into any other speaker cabinet with ease. I suggest a good British speaker to connect with this amp. Celestion speakers would be the speaker of choice when it comes to dialing in the perfect time for this amplifier.

OVERALL OPINION

This is an amp that is very budget friendly. You can find them for the new price of $299. As that is an exceptional price for an amplifier that sounds this good. I would recommend this amp to anyone who is absolutely stoked with the sound of a TS9 pedal and wants a tube version of that. This is a tube version of the tube screamer and is is a cool little amp.

I had the amp with the footswitch of origin to enable or bypass the TS and the boost with 2 LEDs.

UTILIZATION

Usage is very simple ansi the manual that has the distinction to explain the positioning of the effects loop: indeed it is not between the preamp and power amp, but after the TS and the boost before entering the preamp, and it changes everything (discussed later)
Indeed, the sound of the amp plugged directly is very good, nice and big clean sounds depending on guitar used.

SOUNDS

Pushed to the half, the sound is round and the crystalline wrinkling, one feels the lamps. At the bottom is very hard to 15 watts even if other headers are 15 w stronger. Engaged with the TS is blues or hard rock show 70 with TS and background tone of the TS in half, but never again. The ts frankly sounds better than current models, more in the spirit of the TS808, a bit more roots than the Maxon OD9.
With the boost engaged, we finally discover the full capabilities of the amp, the 12 AX7 are invited and the sound takes on a real scale, allowing to work better at high volume power stage and then it becomes very hard.
Passing in 5w, the sound is much less strong, but adds a lot of compression. Those who want to tweak the amp to play at home, go your way: the 6V6 is much closer to that of the 6L6 EL84, and suddenly the sound is full with bass that does not crash. Besides careful not to exceed 5 on the low setting otherwise they quickly become invasive.
If you want a fat saturation, the ideal is to put a pedal in the effects loop (hence the interest that is before the preamp and after the TS and the boost that will serve to boost the distortion) .
Having more used to playing on 4 * 12, head lamps with Marshall or 5150, I must confess that I am not disappointed with some of his pedals to achieve more beautiful clear sounds of the amp, more versatility for the big sounds.
Power is more than enough to rehearse with a drummer and furious play club without problem (I have not exceeded 5 repeats the knowledge that I have a reputation for playing too loud!). Thing that was hard to do with 2 laney LC15R (they do not the bass)

OVERALL OPINION

I think for the made in china, we are really close to a boutique-style amp CARS for connoisseurs (I played with at NAMM for 5 days, so I know what I mean).
We can do many things provided for large loadings to rely on good pedals. For purists clear sound, this amp is perfect and allows for plugging directly into the amp return to attack without going through the TS and bypassde of Boost (which for me are too transparent).
This is a purchase that I do not regret it, and that allows me to have a big sound without breaking my back!
