I'm using the M-Audio MobilePre USB to record voice-over using Adobe Audition 1.5. 10-20 minutes after I start recording, the pitch became lower when I playback the recording. When the lower pitch problem starts, it affects all sound programs on Windows XP.

Sometimes the lower pitch problem goes away after 30 minutes, and sometimes it doesn't.

I disabled SpeedStep in BIOS on my Thinkpad, as well as CPU power management and PCI power management in the BIOS.

Have you had the same problem? How did you fix it?

I am using a IBM Thinkpad T21 with Pentium III 800MHz, 512MB ram. Windows XP with SP2, abd latest driver for Mobilepre - 1.0.0.12 (dated March, 2004)

i had a related problem using my omega usb interface, only on playback i get a higher pitch.

i haven't fixed it yet either but i think it has something to do with the quality or bitrate your recording.
i cant wait to see someone answer your question.:/
