OVERALL OPINION

I use it now for about a year and a half and I'm not disappointed. This sound card to an excellent quality / price ratio: it is robust, simple, it reproduces the sound as it enters and it is pretty. However, I have tried some models before it. The only negative is that the headphone output is independent of the line-out (you plug the headphones, it intersects the line out). I urge those who want to start with something "cheap and good." If you have more in, prefer her older sister, the US-144 (about € 150), which has a separate headphone output and an input / output digital.

I was looking for an interface to control the synthesizer sound card and possibly a better connection for audio instruments.
I have an Athlon Barton 2800 +, 1GB ram, sound card integrated into the motherboard (sound "Bon buf" but that's just for the components).
I wanted to connect it (not simultaneously) low (Jack), guitar (Jack), keyboard, clavinova type (no drum sounds, midi in and out) that I could have used to control the synthesizer of the card sound of my computer and a microphone (XLR) as well, in short the total.

Installation easily recognized right away even my old version of Cakewalk.

I use it for a month and I'm glad: for half of my initial budget, I have a machine that works perfectly. Although it has few entries (one can not simultaneously take two tracks), the price is very satisfying
if I had 500 euros, I would probably invest in a card with more inputs and outputs, but frankly for that price, it allows drivers to start with a stable and very low latency, and that an easy to use, so I advise you!

And although the general opinion is wrong. I use it for 6 months and I will not go that choice. Usage is chaotic map eat all the PC resources, so the recording will stop regularly because of "disk overload".
