I BOUGHT THE UNIT IN A LOCAL MUSIC SHOP. MCPEARSON ROCKY MOUNT, NC.
I OWNED DIGITECH EQUIPMENT BEFOR AND WAS ALWAYS SATISFIED. I HAVE SEEN REVIEWS IN A COUPLE OF MAGAZINES AND HAD TO TRY IT OUT.I LIKRD IT AND BOUGHT IT.

FIRST OF ALL, THERE IS ALOT MORE TO THE UNIT THEN YOU WOULD FIRST THINK. BUT BEST OF ALL, IT IS A VERY EASY PROCESS TO SET A VARIETY OF SOUNDS RANGING FROM VERY CLEAN TO BIZARR. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODIES TASTE IN THIS MACHINE AND AT A HIGH QUALITY AT THAT. THE NOISE GATE ALONE IS FANTASTIC; CUTTING OUT ALMOST ALL THE UNWANTED SIDE NOISE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ACCUSTOMED TO WITH OTHER EFFECTS. THE EXPRESSION PEDAL IS VERY RESPONSIVE. VERY RARELY WILL Y0U FIND A PRODUCT OF THIS QUALITY, VERSATILITY AND EFFECTINESS FOR THIS LOW PRICE.

IT,S STILL RUNNING ON A POWER SUPPLY RATHER THEN A DIRECT PLUG TO AN OUTLET. NO POWER ON AND OFF.

THIS UNIT IS VERY RUGGED AND CAN TAKE ALOT OF ABUSE. EVERYTHING IS MADE OUT OF EXCELLENT AND TOUGH MATERIAL. THIS ONE WILL SURELY LAST YOU.

NO DOUBT, THIS IS EVERYTHING AND MORE THAN I EXPECTED FROM A DIGITECH PRODUCT. FROM THE MOMENT I STARTED HER UP UNTIL NOW
(5 WEEKS) I,M ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED.

I submitted a review previously and wanted to clarify a few things.

read my other review.

Now that I've spent some months with the RP200 I can say that 95% of what I said earlier still holds...
but I want to tell the 5% that keeps nagging me.
The unit IS noisy. It has a gate on it...but so many times I wanted to leave that off so that the
notes would sustain in a normal fashion (and not just die out really quick). Well, when I do that the noise is
quite a bit high. If you arent fussy, It wont make you nuts...but I am very picky..and to me, its a drawback.
In addition, even with a gate ON it does output a constant small amount of hiss. If you don't believe me...
do a bypass of the unit, and you will see its there at all times. Which, even though its very small..is a drag.
Truthfully, you would never probably notice it...but I care about these things.
And last, the unit is a tad cold sounding. I never noticed this until months after using it, I decided to use
an older Boss GT-5 and compare tracks. They both can do a very usable Marshall. In fact, the RP200
sounds more accuratte...but due to the coldness..it didnt mix as well. It kinda stood out more than I wanted.
So I am back to using the Boss more than I was.....strange...everybody is loving all the modeling stuff out there
and It seems I am going the other way.
What can I say..Ive owned ALOT of gear..and I now just use my ears.

I had 2, the first one had a bad switch. Strait Music in Austin (see Dustin, he is great!!)
did the right thing and got me a fresh one in the box that has worked perfectly.

read my first review then this one,,,thats all I have to say after using the unit extensively.
Overall, still a great pedal...recomended especially to guy who need one thing and have to make due with it.
I do wish the design could guarantee that the foot pedals would never fail..but maybe my first one was a fluke. I dont think its as
road-worthy as any MXR box..but they never could do what this unit does.

Bought from Musician's Friend for $299. I researched a lot of units and it seemed to be the best buy for the money.

Very versatile and capable of a lot of different sounds. Lots of different cabinet settings and distortion analogs. Capable of almost every sound you can imagine and then some.

The users manual is not very good and programming it for personal settings is difficult.

Also not happy with the octave sound capability. Cannot seem to get a good clear bass tone to go along with distortion guitar.

Pedal movement for wah is maybe a bit too short, to fast.

Well built. Solid, heavy construction.

Great unit, capable of a lot of sounds. Needs better user instructions to fully develop its potential.

I bought this for $150 at Strait Music in Austin, texas. I bought it to help me stay current with my guitar tones. I record mainly, and my old processors sounded a bit dated. I'm 39 and I want to be able to cover LimpBizkit, etc if I need to. Verdict: Really good.



It does a very usable job on a number of fronts. No one of the effects or "models" is incredible..but everything is usable, thats for certain. The modeling of the Marshall sound is excellent and I have already recorded with it. Its hard to tell you don't own a Marshall with this thing! I have owned a few Marshalls, I know. As far as effects go: Again everything is usable. The chorus is fine, crisp and not muddy. There is even a Detune feature which is realling good for sounding like an overdub, or for just subtle chorus-like sounds. The delays are limited, but the folks at Digitech gave you the sounds you are most likely to need. You can get good long delays, and they sound EXACTLY like your dry signal.



...and about those delays: The bad news is the volume of your repeats is preset. Luckily Digitech gave your about 4 presets to select from. So Preset #1 is a low volume repeat of what you played, preset#2 is medium volume, preset #3 is still louder. Not Bad, but for very finicky people like me, I wish I could tweak it a little more. Luckily, the guys at Digitech know what works and what doesnt. The presets sound fine (Lucky for Us). Gripe #2: You can't have all the Fx at all the same time. Yeah, Yeah I know Im fussy..but hey I can dream, right? As with most Fx gear you have some corners cut. You cannot have chorus and flange at the same time for example. One again, DigiTech did the wise thing and what you get is probably the smartest set of choices. Believe me on this, I have hooked up 3 chorus units in a row..it isnt nescesarily better!



Overall very good construction, as others have noted. Great light weight aluminum frame..but cheap feeling plastic pads you step on. For all I know the plastic is indestructible (like what phones are made of)..it just SEEMS weak.



THE Best made, smallest, cheapest, least noisy and best sounding multiFx out there. I wasnt a fan of Digitech until I bought this. Their early stuff really didn't do it for me. But I would easily recomend this to anyone who needs something to carry around just in case you need some of these colors. -GtrGeorge Especially recomended to guys who can't hear it first..like outside the US..or living in remote places. Cause in all honesty Ive tried so many different fuzz boxes, delays etc..and this unit really offers the best sounds at the least price and smallest size. I would DEFINETLY carry this if I was touring the Phillipines, or the like.

No implementation twelve o'clock so no edition, loading, etc ... via a PC.

UTILIZATION

Trs simple configuration since 'we adjust the type of amplifier, the gain and volume via the good old potentiometers. The edition is sound in the same way that avoids fears of a malfunction of the keys to use. In short you should get away without problem. The manual is clear, in French and even downloaded from the Digitech site.

SOUND QUALITY

The quality of the simulations is simply excellent for a camera of this price. I have owned more expensive units that sounded much worse. The number of adjustable parameters for each effect is equal to the number of pots but sufficient in most cases. Fun, Ya Exlusive effect the brand, which allows you to play the Peter Frampton. Pretty cool as the simulation of acoustic guitar as it does not hit the bluegrass also very useful, Rhythmic module which is a bit too quickly described as a rhythm box. THIS IS just a few patterns to work or his Rhythmic lines, no fills, intros, etc. .. The quality of the kit is still good trs.
I would add just that, as usual, the presets are a little "loading" effects and they spoil some first impressions of those who love above all the amp tones without artifice.

OVERALL OPINION

The weapon idalie for beginners or any guitarist looking for a while not complicated for a nice price. All effects are included with the module in addition to Rhythmic work efficiently. The quality of speakers and amp simulations can play with the sound of a chain or headphone, which will provide the ds beginners to invest in an amp. Furthermore, its 24-bit converters allow you to use in your home studio without any problem of breath, etc ... All for less than 1700 bales is the price of 3 pedals!

The RP 200 is a 100 with a PR expression incorporates pedals. This is necessary to use the functions Volume and wha-wha.
But personally, I prefer to add an expression pedals "flying" a 100 RP rather than have an RP 200.

UTILIZATION

Trs easy to use, the limit of the manual unnecessary.
you can not go deep into all custom settings effects, but not the lo'bjet the RP200. it positions itself clearly as a TRS while an entry level for beginners or amateur studio (within the meaning of the term real estate), and above it is an error-free.

SOUND QUALITY

The amp simulations, even if they remain trs simulation are well made, individual effects are somewhat Ingala but there is really good overall, and sounds plutt well. used with an electric guitar made in china, I found myself with a mtalleux in my living room
dj as mentioned below, the factory presets are fun to beginners, but as soon Gavs drunk too much of everything. but once we started to make its user presets, the machine is discovering a simple, friendly and with its catchy.

of breath, yes, there are, but not more than one multi-effects pedals without worth twice the price of the RP200, so I do not see or is the problem.

SOUND QUALITY

While attention to the effects:
1) The whammy has 4ND octaves (4 octaves) below has a relatively acute and not too rotten ass distortion
1) The whammy in acute is not pretty either
not too plain like the whammy on the rack

However, the 2nd octave not bad for a walk down a tone ..

With the experience I have I recommend this product (even for a big sound metal)
most agree has any style of music

I think we said everything except two things can be (I compare the amp Beringher XV):
Place a pRSET the other does not cut the sound at all (so no problem on scne) and I repeat that the pedals of expression is of good quality (well m tal and all that)

As against the pedals is ugly and looks like a toy tomy (at first I thought that the seller did not care about me ... well when he plugged in and my improvisation over a lach ... My head has chang shall we say) I then 7 because of my design

UTILIZATION

Very easy to understand you can copy files from a pRSET has another 80 easy and pRSET plants are sometimes trs cool (all the boards I go through twice in impro of 5 minutes each time and there's something to have fun ...)

As against the manual, in English and not trsdtaill ...

There's so much choice in the sounds that sometimes gets lost (because of the manual I guess)

The buttons are used to settle every time all the effects / sound / etc gain. from 0100 to Manir prcise enough, and when changing pRSET can easily see how he had been dernire Sets the time, which is quite convenient.

SOUND QUALITY

There's several amps that sound crueux or bad but it does not matter: There's so many choices ct you the sound you want even in the Based on the same amp (fan Higain and the ground).

Tell yourself that pedals can do ANYTHING if you take the time to find the right config (sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes months I guess ...)

I get my nine, cause I like to spend my life searching for sounds, and a rest sometimes a little plastic one sees that it's redone. But Manir gnrale do spend enough time on it we find what we seek.

Note that with an expert ear we hear extraneous sounds (a good noise gate can be removed) of jacks but the pedals.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months

It is funny trs (pedals like a funny) I mean by: Is there way to try dozens of effects that can make rglages surprising but not so useful (your style IEA guitar cries all the time with a delay to give IEA IEA IEA IEA and with a vibrato AaaaaaaaH ....)

But otherwise it can make some nice sounds trs (I speak as time fan of Metallica)

I give it 9, and I think I would do the same choice when after trying some other stuff.
