Colleagues have already described its features.

The pedal is quality, finishing as only the footswitch seems to me a fair bit of time (in years). Too bad there's no control for external tap tempo. I would have liked a set of modulation on the front.

Rating: 8. Nothing to complain really.

UTILIZATION

Easy to use, effective adjustments. This is in 4 words to remember this. My only regret comes from the looper mode and especially the volume control that affects and the looper and the dry.

Setting the tempo already mentioned works, on the other hand hard to do right in the song.

Loading a TonePrint is childish.

Rating: 9. Perfect score if the volume control mode only affected the looper loop.

SOUND QUALITY

Not being a big fan of time, I was amazed! The effects are all good, no throwing. I have a preference for the 2290 mode, the analog delay and lofi.

With little feedback and a short time, the mode mod creates a nice little extra chorus.

RAS on the looper, except the volume control listed above.

TonePrint function seems a little gadget, but a bunch appeared and some really pretty. Following a discussion I had with the product manager TC on another forum, they created a TonePrint TriChorus which is based on the way mod, but with the modulation settings instead of delay and feedback. It was a really good chorus.

In short, this little pedal is a Swiss Army knife of sound.

I tested the two methods of bypass, true bypass or buffered, I did not hear any difference, the buffer seems really good.

Rating: 10. Yes, it's a lot, but there are only good in it, or even very good.

OVERALL OPINION

I originally bought the Flashback to the looper and the possibility of making an extra chorus, and possibly a small delay at times. In the end, allowed me to love Flashback time, a task that even Axe FX has failed to do.

Final score: 9.

Toneprint function is an area of ​​"memory" that allows to download a sound of a "guitar hero" TC and shaped by several musicians ... While surfing their site we see that the refinement of its tailor-made full use of additional parameters ... Unfortunately, to date, impossible to have a software programming finesse of this pedal ... it's a shame. The pedals are all new ... TC thinks hope one day to offer this software so that anyone can program his son ...

UTILIZATION

The grip is simplistic. Selecting a type of delay and adjusted the 3 parameters. It is immediate and simple. BUT! Given the number of Delay really different, the extent of delay, the proportion of feedback and level of effect that really give a "multitude" of sounds or conventional, well "crossed to the west."

There is a tap tempo included ... Must be pressed 2 seconds and then hold the single switch and make the tempo on the guitar ... It's clever, but not too practical ... Example ... impossible to settle it in full song if we were wrong ... The choice of TC was making a compact pedal with only one switch ... with practice it will come ...

Good writing hot after a night of testing ... But the division rhythm selector + tap tempo is not very clear to me ... the manual is complete but succinct on the subject.

SOUND QUALITY

But what sounds! The 9 Types of Delay correctly and simply presented in the manual can really huge sonic palette ... Full Digital Delay (as The Edge of U2) clean, crystalline, air to Tape Echo warm and diffuse ... each "program" brings a personality ... Reverse Delay mode is really beautiful and very strange ...

Me playing with an acoustic guitar + microphone rose: I can create layers of sound rather strange ... while allowing me to play the natural sound of the guitar ... all thanks to the FX knob level that can mix the level of the effect ...

At the risk of repeating myself in view of the opinion ... I like the pedals "unique" because we play in real time with the sound by turning a few knobs ... it actually allows to go away in a sound, without programming at all, without editing menus as x on the crank. for a Delay pedal is essential to explore the settings to find a sound, an atmosphere ... Here I also regret that the USB does not allow (yet?) To save the sounds you love on a computer ... But hey, for 145 € is perhaps not too much to ask.

OVERALL OPINION

Just a first night ...

A 145 €, it is an unbeatable price with such high quality sound ... I tried the Boss and much pedal ... never before I did this much fun with the Delay ...

It was under his foot a world of sound really interesting and easy to access ... This pedal has only two flaws: 1 - A Tap Tempo we rule "mutant" pedal and beating time on the guitar ... lack of space. A business decision that ruled out a Live game mode for "catch" a rhythm in a song is a little view of a tap tempo, right? 2 - Not operating from the USB port to save its settings ...

In short, really a great pedal very compact and beautiful offering a world of sound at a great price ...

The delay effect and allows extensive adjustments to really explore sounds very subtle ... the effect is probably the most "special" which allows so many different atmospheres

Empress pedal Superdelay (400 €) seems much better and creative ... but it is not the same budget.

Despite all the TC Electronic Flashback is an excellent choice ... Not a fart breath, a solid case, a comfortable grip and especially sound worlds to explore ...

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are perfect (TC required) Nothing rings false, modulation or tape delay is entirely up to the racks TC.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month, I tested bosses, memory boy repeat red, it suits me better, it has everything I like in no other delay faults
more, the tap tempo switch and now piloting the measure strumming the strings.

Delay pedal true bypass has the following properties (brace yourself):
- 9 types of delay (2290, analog, tape, lofi, dynamic, mod, pingpong, slap, reverse)

- A looper mode (40 sec).
- The famous Toneprint mode, which allows to store a preset created by guitar'z'héros your favorites.
- Stereo input and output (and of course mono) + 1 USB + 1 9Volts DC 100ma
- 1 switch black / dotted eighth / black + dotted eighth.
- 1 tap delay hidden (just hold down the switch and kick his plectrum on the strings).
- Encore 2 Miniswitch under the pedal, and Killdry buffered bypass (that I did not really understand but hey it sounds good).
- Though sturdy metal case with Metallic paint, rather successful.

UTILIZATION

Simple configuration and especially well thought out. After trying a vintage Artec delay (a little soft and not with Killdry mix thoroughly) and a Memory EH toy (very successful, but I told myself that I would get bored quickly because only one type of delay, but it's my fault I should have guessed), I was about to buy the Nova repeater when I saw the commercial site on our famous Flashback. I initially found it beautiful and more compact but I told myself it would surely not all the features of Nova. Well if my little lady! from the number of subdivisions (black, dotted eighth, etc.) and tone knobs and mod that have disappeared, she does the same (even tapdelay is here!) and even more since Looper 40 seconds (yes sir), 9 types of delays against 6 for the nova. Finally the mode Toneprint "which is a little marketing is not so bad: For the scene, for example, if you need a delay for a specific song, find an approaching what you want among the presets created by our friends the "stars" and set it aside stored in the beast. You can then recall this preset just turning the dial to the position Toneprint practice ...
Manuel succinct but clear

SOUND QUALITY

It's TC, the branch and immediately understand that he made the right choice. Ie no difference or change in volume compared to its bypass with a very clean and audible delay behind ... All the delays are excellent (some may be less useful as lofi) and it's always clean. I mainly use the 2290 (based on the legendary TC 2290), analog (similar to the EH Memory toy) and Tape (very warm). The dynamic is also nice: When you play, the level of delay is mitigated, and between sentences, his level increases.
I use the flashback in the effects loop of my ENGL Screamer 50 (1st model 1997) and it works really well: no "dephasing", the natural sound of the amp is really respected (not even need to use mode Killdry the pedal!).
I also tried recording. Plugged directly into my stereo sound card, at the end of the chain after a few pedals (one 9000volts yerasov, notice provisions) and a johnson j-station as a simulated HP. Great result, the stereo offers a lot and I even made a pretty cool discovery: Normally the only effect is the stereo Flashback Pingpong (normal what), but PUTTING THE SWITCH ON SUBDIVISION BLACK + dotted eighth position (down) ALL BECOME THE DELAY STEREO WITH THE BLACK AND THE LEFT dotted eighth RIGHT IN THE MIX! Class, bravo mr TC!
Otherwise the Looper is nice (you can register as many layers as you wish), I have not bought it but it's fun and interesting to work riffs and improvisations.

OVERALL OPINION

The pros:
- Ben ... everything. The sound quality TC is there (as usual).
- The number of grouping available in a small box (in the 12th century, engineers would have eventually TC at the stake!). Using guitar of course but why not mix console with stereo inputs.
- Small handy features (tap delay, Killdry, looper, toneprint ...)
The -:
- Slayer of batteries! Duracell new one sketched in 1 hour! (Pedal has also worked with the battery not included so be careful before returning the pedal VAS). Provide a brief power supply (works very well with a universal power supply super U!)

Conclusion: The design super efficient.
145 euros is not cheap, but the flashback is a little pedal ideal which we could have dreamed and is more of TC ... or of 5 stars.
