- Amplification technology (tube, solid state, ...)?

Everything has been already said...

- Output power?

It rated at 40 watts but it seems to be more because it's really loud.

I miss a 20 watt operation switch.

- What about controls, effects etc.?

I won't say anything about effects...

The finish quality is very good. It's a high-end product.

That's not what disappointed me.

Considering the features, this amp is very interesting... But it disappointed me when I played it...

Considering the features, this amp is very interesting... But it disappointed me when I played it...

UTILIZATION

- What about settings?

Very easy configuration. Just turn a few controls and you get a good sound.

- Is it easy to get the right sound?

It' all a matter of taste... Personally, the sound and effects of this amp disappointed me a lot...

The clean sound is very good. Warm, perfect...

The crunch sound isn't bad but you start hearing the amp's personality.

The distortion disappointed me. This amp sound totally California!!! They ignored Marshall fans!! It's surprising coming from Mr Bogner because he used to tune Marshall amps in the beginning... But he only conceived the preamp stage of this amp, not the modelings...

It supposed to include some British models but I'm still looking for them!

- Is the user's manual clear and comprehensive?

I took a look at it. I like Line 6 user's manuals, they are very easy to read.. It seems that people at Line 6 have lots of fun writing manuals...

SOUNDS

- Does it fit your music style?

The amp is quite versatile... but I'm very disappointed because all modelings have the typical US sound.

- Which guitar, bass or effects do you use?

I tested it with a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Strato Custom Shop, a Tele USA Standard and a PRS 513.

- What kind of sounds do you get and which settings do you use ("crystal-clear", "fat", ...)?

The clean sound is very warm and nice. The crunch sound isn't bad... but I miss a Marshall-like crunch... and even a typical Bogner sound... (the simulation is not comparable with a real Bogner amp).

- Which sounds do you prefer / hate?

I don't like the distortion... But guitarists who like the Mesa sound will love this amp.

I also hate the chorus/flanger effect... It's really lousy and uninteresting... I'd rather have an amp without effects...

OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you been using it?

I kept it three days (two days at home plus a live gig) and I brought it back to the store where I bought it.

- Which features do you like the most / the least?

I like the compact size, the finish quality and the warm tube sound.

I'm very disappointed by the simulations (limited to typical US sounds).

The effects are the worse!!! I'd rather have no effects!

It's really silly to combine a chorus and a flanger and have independent tremolo and phaser effects... Can someone explain this to me??? It's impossible to get a good sound with this combination! And you cannot edit any parameter of the effects except for the volume...

And its the same regarding delays... No editable parameters...

- Did you try any other models before buying it?

Of course. I've had many different amps. But this one's the first I've kept such a short time...

It's much worse than a Vetta II!!

- How would you rate its value for money?

If you buy it knowing how it sounds, it's ok... And the manufacturing quality is very good... But avoid it if you are looking for something else rather than only US sounds or effects.

- Based on your experience, would you buy this product again?

Never!!

I know some people will totally disagree with what I wrote.

This amp is great for people who like US sounds and don't use any effects.

If you like Bogner, Marshall and Soldano sounds, as well as a deep U2 or Malmsteen delay with a light chorus effect, etc...

forget this amp and buy another one...

I give it a 10 for the connection possibilities, the speaker (couldn't be better) and the very clean and classy finish.

UTILIZATION

It cannot be easier!

Just select your amp, edit your preset, and save it while depressing the channel you want. It's perfectly intuitive and I didn't need to read the user's manual.

The effect settings are incredibly easy. I know you could get more precision with some pedals but it's more than enough.

And as a bonus feature, you get an integrated chromatic tuner (which is not limited to EADGBE).

And as a bonus feature, you get an integrated chromatic tuner (which is not limited to EADGBE).

You can choose among three pedals:

- the FBV2 with two small knobs to switch from one preset to another.

- the FBV Express with four preset buttons, tuner and wah/volume pedal

- the FBV Shortboard which is expensive but allows you to control the amp with your foot! Really convenient and comprehensive.

I give them a 9 for the price of the pedals.

SOUNDS

It's amazing!

This amp will convince every digital technology detractor!

To be more clear: it does everything you need.

Fender, Vox, Mesa, Marshall. Every sound of every renowned amp brand is faithfully reproduced.

Since I play almost every kind of music, it's perfect for me. Accurate and warm clean sound (do you feel the tubes?), smooth or aggressive crunch sound, heavy and sharp distortion... It's a real pleasure.

Jazz, rockabilly, hard rock, thrash and heavy metal, everything is possible (of course you have to play the right guitar).

The sound character of each guitar is perfectly reproduced.

I play an Epiphone Les Paul Standard so I get a rather fat and heavy sound. I also own an Ibanez Tube Screamer 9 overdrive pedal which adds a different character to each model. Perfect!

I have a weakness for the Mesa modelings because their distortion sound is really incredible, it's virtually identical to the original amps. It's wonderful to play solos.

But watch out for the output volume: 40 watts of tube power are very loud and the Celestion Vintage 30 has a high efficiency! So watch out for the presets you want to use.

I give it a 9 because perfection doesn't exist and there's nothing like the original amps... Although this amp comes really close!

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using mine for three weeks, but a friend of mine bought one several months ago so I had the chance to try it out before buying it.

Its charm is being practical. The finish is perfect (thank you Bogner) and the sound is versatile and excellent.

I previously owned several amps which where totally different but this one is definitely the best.

UNBEATABLE value for money. Such quality at this price, it's almost a gift!

For your information, you'll find the Celestion Vintage 30 speaker in Mesa amps and other high-class brands.

Here, you get also a tuner, effects and 400 artist presets 36 of which can be edited.

Of course I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Try it out if you don't believe me!

I still do not know everything, so ... improve hands jack for me in terms of volume differences by channel ..

I easily get the right sound, even the very good sound, also on the same channel, it can range from very light to its big sound through the crunch, very easy get.

So what about you sound?

Very beautiful, really beautiful, and again, even low volume, it is Arian! and with only one HP, it's really enjoyable to have this sound. In clean sounds, I find Me, it's rather fender, but it has its personality. Crunch sounds a bit you get what you want, basically sounds, it is modern.

In fact, it is the Swiss Army knife amp that responds to user request!

SONORITS

I have a Mark IV Msa boogie, I have a big fat Marshall, good and beautiful amps, that the complte it well because it offers me its clear that the others do not give me, for the rest, it competes without problems.

I have talked point of the "remainder" of this amp, the modeling, although I myself foute, I found myself in the reality of the effects and proposs simulations,

Although I am not a fan of Mettalica, it's crazy how I found the rel "modlisation" offers as "Nothing ..." is the sound of Mettalica !dropoff window I qu'essay the one I prefer my sound.

So, yes, we obient any sound you like, and if you are not happy, simply go with its own effects, but it would be difficult. This is the amp with which one can play everything, it's funny as it is by its generous versatilit simply dosed and turn the knobs. I am unstable, I play jazz like metal, it is the beast I needed.

I play with my "pretty" guitars, and even pleasant surprise, it respects the grain of each guitar, attention is a "lamp" a real amp, it's not bullshit "Line6" to beginners with their transos MODELING amps that sound synthtisent death. No, we enter the real Amp lamps !!

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for one month only, I would bring if needed complments of my opinion.
This is my quinzime mini amp!

And that's one of the best, an amp good of our era with the qualities and defects of our time, do not spoil our fun!

Yes, I would do this choice because it is an amp that sounds flat and me!

What I like most: The sound! and versatilit.

What I like least: It's not as heavy as my Msa! But then the "heavy" that's it! And what good is that it has held as much as others.

The price quality ratio is extraordinary, and I do not dconne, this price, we sell an amp lamps with 40W Celestion Vintage 12 HP and all digital artillery is fabulous.

Nobody could have imagined such feats there again soon. Too bad for the nostalgic, the litistes who want 10,000 roros systems, this amp is not done for them!

But for me, that Happiness! 10/10
