8 mic / line (48v/pad/phase) neutrick combo (XLR and TRS)
very good A / D converters of the mark.
there are 2 ADAT ports to be 8 Canneaux to 96Khz.
there is a world clock for timing.
and 8 line outputs TRS if it is used in analog.

UTILIZATION

very simple analog, we enter the preamp and it appears on the jack.
digitally, adat, it is well to locker with the sound card for example, and everything goes well.

SOUND QUALITY

I find very good quality, pre-amps have good momentum, are fairly neutral, all frequencies are accurately reproduced.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three years with a Fireface 800, nickel is 12 AC pramplis good!
At the time I compared with motu because I had a 828 mkII, I find the motu preamps are as good as RME, for cons is as reliable and well understood the control mix.
the price is justified OctaMic, good preamps, very good converters. reliability.
