Value For Money : Poor
Everything has been said. As against the advice of some specialists, the VC30 is not a true class A (technical explanations that I did not understand the way)

30W brief with three 12AX7 and four EL84 Sovteck rebadgées in TAD (Tube Amp Doctor). One Seventy 80 HP Classic Lead supposed to imitate the same brand but not get there from Gillou.

-1: No master volume

UTILIZATION

The configuration could not be simpler. Two inputs, clean channel with an equalizer crunch and global reverb / loop / bright

This little combo is truly plug and play. No adjustment pedal or 12-channel equalizer with presence and dedicated, you branches, you put the volume above 6 clear and forward.

Manuel ... I remember where I put it but it is available on the website of Laney. Used for the technical specifications in the event of changes (Cabinet, Hp, lamps etc ...)

No negative to report. 10 for a single channel then two channels for 9: D

SOUNDS

Material:
Guitar: Fender Stratocaster Us std 2004 with CS69, Washburn PS with d-sonic signature and air norton, EVH frankenstrat Home made with 59 'model in easel
Effect: Od-808, DOD YJM, Vox bulldog, Sd-1 and modulation / delay ...
Channel 1: Clean channel and not very nice typed. I have not had the chance to try the great of this world as a Tween or other JTM45 but compared to an AC30 today, he did not blush. By staying outside the crunch on the clean channel (- 5 / 6) it is very good. By pushing a little bit more it becomes a lot more than cheap like AC30. The sound of the lamps go out to 1/1.5. It is quite possible to play quietly in the clear (with pedal if you must) while someone is sleeping in the next room. My mother working at night and always being at my parents can I still work my guitar without disturbing it.

About 3 / 4 with a stratum, we get a clear sound beautiful, pure and highly musical. The amp is very dynamic and very responsive. You can make amazing jumps in volume at the beginning (what lamps ...).

To 5 / 6 begins to saturate with HB as the vintage 59 'Seymour Duncan (the modern is much too dry and of no use on a clean / crunch). The amp has plenty of head room: we begin to have the limit of its clear, it is big and heavy but it does not collapse in a crunch, it resists wholesale. With attacks on free as to touch the crunch. It is the ideal position for the light blues with spikes on the saturation attacks.

A 9 / 10: It saturates as a single channel. It's dirty, you feel the saturation of the power tubes. With my Start is still ca. One can almost play without clear saturation with microphones with low output.

With booster: This is where it fishing, the amp reacts very badly to me with booster. I try YJM, the 808 and treble boost but nothing was done. I will change the power tubes to see if it can come from ca. Vox as a saturated fat and is super heavy (hence the use of a treble boost as the good old days to correct the sound and music to do something) is as dry as the one shot tric . The share of its tendrils acute and strident. It is ultra tight, unlike a single-channel pushed toc. I think the low price of the amp is for something, the components are probably quite cheap and the HP + lamps powers are perhaps not appropriate. In short it is missing for Blackmore, Malmsteen or other Brain May.

Channel two is directly crunch but has little to do with a pushed in. It is drier and more bitter. It's more rock falls in and less bluesy. It's a bit the opposite of a tube screamer like. It is also very responsive. As for channel 1, we can push into a corner and play with the volume knob to fall in clean. With booster is the same fight, too dry. But I realized that when you push the volume to attack the power tubes, it was getting worse and worse. So I think what is at fault.

Amp + pedal: Channel 1 is very rich without being typed can use the amp as a platform pedal. It can therefore be possible within the limits it to play everything. I play heavy metal in my group. I pair the amp with a vox bulldog which allows to couple the coldness of the metal with the warmth of the words "Vintage". So I get a modern sound but much more musical. I also play with the OD808 for the blues and hard rock which is my favorite music. This is a great platform that has enough power to play in a group with clear sound + pedal.

Attention once I have the 112 version does not offer a lot of dispersion. So yes in groups but watch the drummer (the double pedal is a lot of noise and a few covers everyone. With a normal drummer is more than enough. In any case in a pub you made everyone flee to such volume!)
HP Performance 98db. I'll put a V30 or a classic lead in it.
So -1 for the very cheap side with booster (actually you realize the quality of the amp!), -1 Boosted channel rather limited and poor compared to channel 1. Damage

OVERALL OPINION

I've had almost 2 years and I waited to ask an opinion. I find that no objective account of criticism of his gear and it takes a little more. I said objective, not a notice to 0 everywhere with just a test store.

The most common:
- The clear sound
- The head room
- The mouth of the amp, the new models are very beautiful. Black is beautiful
- The simplicity of the amp, plug and play with the possibility of platform pedals
- The reverb (I love typing to make it sound!)
- Connectors provided enough
- The price in Germany (I would never buy for € 600 +)
- No breath. Slightly with the volume to 10 but so insignificant compared to the volume when playing. The volume comes from somewhere else if you (or before Technical problem as the amp jack, guitar, loop mass effect nase etc. ..).

And the least:
- Lamps bad cause I changed (for the preamp)
- The HP I will also change because apparently some flange
- The very cheap side of the amp and pushed to boost the "old"
- Channel 2 and rather poor gear
- No master general

With experience, I would have waited even longer for another year to pay me a Vox AC30 or Marshall 1987x to jump over. This remains a very good amp that will serve me for a long time but with a bad value for money in France I think. For the same money we can add a lamp and a set of HP better.
EDIT: The new version has increased! I paid the 500 and mine dust for version 112 and 212 was 690. Now the 112 is 650. Hurry to take the last before the new more expensive and identical to the paper.
