- What characteristics have motivated your choice?
I was looking for good speakers for around 1400-1500 euros a pair, I was hooked by the features described on the focal site (beryllium, manufacturing quality apparent serious approach ...). All that has emerged during the comparative listening in the store, I took the time.
- For what purpose?
Editing / mixing / recording classical music (pro) home studio (amateur) home listening.
- What amp / What configuration? ...
RME fireface800 / Presonus Central Station
For the price, it's serious.
SOUNDS
- The frequency curve is sufficiently neutral?
No color for me, unlike Dynaudio, Genelec ... I'm on my mixes, no surprises. Very reliable.
- The stereo image is good?
Simply stunning. of "holosonie!" But the acoustics of my listening place is not optimized.
- The sound is clear and precise on the spectrum?
the highs are great precision and accuracy. Medium idem. the bass is deep and clear, the event in front is very apreciation. I would like to hear in a room bigger and better treated than my apartment ... but it's very good and very reliable.
I think the twin-saving yet, but the price difference is important. I'll take a box when I'm rich.
- The dynamics are respected? ...
Dynamic amazing, nothing else to say. Everything is connected: it's serious, reliable.

since January 2007, four months then.
- What is so special that you like most and least?
the tradeoff between precision / accuracy perfect, and listening comfort. No fatigue.
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Genelec 8040 (I do not like very flattering), Dynaudio 5a and 6a (I have a problem with the bottom of Dynaudio medium, which are also great precision also), Adam (very well too, but the famous Acute tape me tired. feeling artificial).
I have compared at length and in several times for me Solo6 have emerged clearly. I have not been able to compare with BM6A MK2.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
At the top. design, materials, quality sound for 1500 euros.
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Without a doubt, except BM6A MK2 outputs that were not ... But I am quite overwhelmed by this major investment, in every sense of the word.
