Changing pickups 62 is not necessary, they are very good; I did only to find the sound Rory.
I do not regret my purchase, and never resell;
I could also have considered a very good American Standard and much cheaper, but the feeling was not there.

SOUNDS

Finally, in this guitar, do not expect a real reissue, this is pure bluff ... Changing rooms are finally worth more kick either to the price ... It's better but not obvious ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 4 years ... The quality / price is justified (if you think XXI) ...
I do not think I would do this choice, the description of the instrument and the "reissue 62" character are completely cans ...

The RRP is £570 but at a sale at Andertons in Guildford i got it for a steal price - £370. Dunno if i'd pay full whack for it, i mean yeah its quality but i might have just settled for a standard. still...if you see one going cheap, or if you just want THAT tone, this is the beast!

The tone is fantastic. you really get those screaming highs and the piano like projection of the low strings is gorgious. through my line 6 flextone II amp it's just a HUGE tone. great looks. great neck, great pickups, no shoddy parts anywhere! refreshing at this price. its an utterly brilliant package and it's the business. epiphone, ibanez...they cant rival this. great super 250's strings. oh yeah...free deluxe gig bag too...winner!

LOL. nothing! this tone makes you realise just how crap everything else is! wicked bargin!

construction and quality is second to none. forget how standard strats feel, this is a different league. the neck is finished with a lovely shiny laquer to PERFECTION - i love that neck! the ping tuners are SOOO much better than the standards'. its solid, (mexican built, but hell they make the bodies up north anyhow) and its just really really cool to be honest! play one, compare it to the standard (take a moment to laugh) then go choose your colour! whites great with the rosewood fretboard btw!

honestly? this is the first guitar i have ever played that i like EVERYTHING about. you dont need to spend more money than this to get a top flight machine, seriously, this would do for pros. if you even think about getting a strat, this is THE ONE. (ps dont think 'vintage' means it cant do modern stuff. this nails the modern marshall vibe better than my mates ibanez. GO BUY THIS!

It is a strat US exact replica of the legendary L-series. It thus has the qualities & faults of the time.
Channel 21 cells in C with a slightly domed button. The patent is like time to nitro cellulose.
+ The biggest problem is the poor mechanical original which I think are the best good for the museum at worst good for the trash. Replace them with good self-locking Sperzel.

UTILIZATION

To me that is the best round of strata that exists above is playing with a disconcerting ease, to be honest I have an American Deluxe tele standard with the handle on which I have to climb a rope pulling more flexible back to about the same sensations.
This guitar comes original with a 3-position selector switch but a 5-position is in the tweed case (beautiful).

SOUNDS

The magic of this guitar is the sound obtained in position 2 & 4, the medium that's dug in micro arpèges.Le magnify your grave has a big punch while staying clear and sharp micro is a amazing the edge you can enquiller the superstitious riff (Stevie Wonder) without problems.

OVERALL OPINION

I have two strats a 62 in 2001, the other in 1987. My preference is the 1987 I 'am comfortable as an old pair of the charentaises.Celle I have bought for € 1000 OCCAZ in 09/2003 that is the guitar that I '+ uses despite my Les Paul Custom 2 my TV and my dream is Ricken 360.Mon to have one day a real L-series.

Well, for the shape of the handle, personally it's not my game prfre, too thin in thickness "C" Shape, if you have large hands I would recommend a round of 57, more and more U thick. To bomb the key is to feel, I personally prefried dish the Gibson, but it does when the same!

UTILIZATION

I received mine there are half a score of days now, after some difficulties to get it, I must admit that I fell in love with this guitar ...

First of all what we see first: a flawless finish (mine is sunburst), nothing is left to chance, I watched it from every angle I did not find fault or small deffauts at the finish ... The body is in two parts but you really know because the connection is almost invisible.La box is very nice also

The varnish is beautiful (nitro cellulose), very bright yellow and slightly fragrant typical (sweet mixed woodland), I love ...

SOUNDS

It sounds already in acoustics: the guitar sounds in the abdomen, it seems in perfect harmony. The shape of the handle is very nice but the varnish tends to hang a bit on the back of the neck (just ca not be because it is new ...) the radius smaller than a regular strata, we like or you not love it suits me perfectly.

Once plugged into my Peavey Classic 30, all the magic happens

- Neck pickup very far, very bluesy with a lot of very hendrixien fishing, etc ... gilmour
- Micro balanced medium (that is the one I use less)
- Micro lens acute, sharp but not loud, the distortion goes rather well

OVERALL OPINION

Strengths:

- Perfect finish
- Accessories (box superb, 5-way switch, tremolo spring, fender vintage strap and jack ...)
- Its a very pure, very natural with good sustain and dynamics

Low points:

- Polish very fragile and tends to hang (for now) but it's also what makes the sound ...

The guitar sounds wonderful provided you know the ring! OVERALL OPINION

- Uses the last few days I am delighted!
- I have no problem keeping the strings agreement despite new montsrcemment the mcaniques Vintage Kluson (even when they are 10 years old) are vintage, but certainly well made.
- Buy a Used Fenderien Stratophile extremely careful, this beauty is like new (even too new) ^ ^! ) It lacks just a little bottle to achieve the feeling, the ultimate touch of a (good) Custom Shop.

UTILIZATION

I bought it mainly for the stick at the beginning because I already had a vintage Telecaster 62 with a handle similar and it suited me perfectly (rare in my case with my small hands).
Strato this reissue has a handle in C, this means that the rear of the handle is rounded (Profile) unlike the V-neck stratos 57 '.
The curvature of the neck at the (radius) is more rounded than standard handle is the point of controversy in general on this guitar: we like it or not, he should try it, no other person fretboard does not suit me better. In fact we have to find the right setting and good curvature of the neck to get a good string height that is comfortable to play with a relatively low action without curling.
Then the frets are vintage frets much thinner than, for example, american deluxe on a handle, in addition, these hoops have a big impact on the resulting sound.
These two features give this exceptional comfort handle all the varnish used to handle the type of nitro cellulose (vintage) is thinner than the modern varnish (polyurethane used on the American Deluxe), and the wood vibrates more and continues to dry because it is porous (which bodes still an improvement over the years). on the other hand, it seems, because I have not yet noticed after several months of play, that the failure of this coating is its fragility.
The rest is a stratovolcano, so with the usual comfort features and a reputation that is second to none.

SOUNDS

When I bought it, there were only 3 positions faithfully to the old model 62 but in his case was a 5-way switching I installed easily (although not in any way technician) and this would be a shame not to do that since the 2 and 4 postions are pretty phenomenal.
The pickups give it 57/62 its characteristic with these mediums dug in position 2 & 4.
The sounds are well balanced and microphones enable crystal clear sounds very fenderiennes and deep bass (with the neck pickup). Already unplugged the guitar gives the impression of balance and softness.
I play on a Fender Twin amp and 2 together very nicely for both the rock (with distortion), the blues, as beautiful pieces of blues-tinged jazz with beautiful sounds clear, what I was looking for. So finally a good versatile guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months and I do not regret this purchase.
Now I think I even never part with me because my usual guitar shop, knowing my love handles low radius, enticed me by Fender Custom Shop Relic or (60 and 62) have I tested by comparing them to mine: they are obviously exceptional scratch and yet I preferred my Vintage 62 for 2 reasons:
- I did not find the soft sounds of my 62 (for example, had more Relic and probably too much midrange for my taste) but it's very personal because on this point must be objective, it depends what is looking like her;
- Value for money which, at my level is not justified (almost double the 2 Relic I tried).
I'll keep my Strato Vintage 62 which is, moreover, the perfect complement to my Gibson ES 335 (and if you add my TV I'm 62 ... but ruined filled as usual!).
