OVERALL OPINION

Maschine I use for 3 months and the bike and the soft (actually these are exactly the same two interfaces) are very powerful.
We have plenty of choice to create a single kit among the gigabytes of sounds supplied with the beast. It sounds a very short time. The pads are nice and the sturdy knobs, two backlit displays are reliable, the sequencer works great.
I had a Roland SP-606, which suited me rather excepted the limits of the sequencer, I found a worthy successor to the Maschine 606.
The only weak point to me is the fact that we can control the tempo when used standalone. In Live, do not dream, it's not Maschine master, but the opposite would be surprising, too!
For that (or she) who seeks to beat the easy, intuitive way by touching the pads and the big sound, Maschine is the ideal machine. In my case, I am satisfied.

The app is stable and the drivers, but it quickly becomes hungry CPU and my computer is aging to the death. It saturates quickly and suddenly we are limited in the amount of plugging or other effects that one would like to use. At that time, the latency is felt and the sequence of commands such as mute or a change in pattern or scene, rotating knobs or menu navigation calls for it to resume several times. But I have to recognize that you still have that the project is well advanced before its starts to deteriorate.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years but I'm not as hard as I would like. Before I used apps like fruityloops, reason, .... But I missed the contact with the material so I chose to Mashine just found the soft side that I know well and some hardware that I missed. The app is good but a bit limited compared with top names from the genre but the apps will never compete with live material that gives the game a lot of filling in your compositions.

The downside to the service center, some 99% Tlcharger sometimes freezes without any way to restart from 0, I had to update the library via the site or due to bug.

I also find embtant of being forced to go through the original cd version 1.0 for any installation, you can not directly install the latest version, you must start with the original cd and do the updates.

I use it for 6 months.

I did not dpart, but since the day 1.6 that allows the use of VST, I use maschine aleone stand in for my productions, more than external daw.

the workflow is really enjoyable trs, compose quickly.

Well the Native Instruments Machine is what I used for about 3 months. I had no compatibility issues with it at all. It took a little while to understand it, so I had use the manual a lot. All of the functions are pretty easy and works seamlessly with my software. I was running it on windows vista, and then switched it over to windows 7. Worked fine, and didn’t use much cpu.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software was very stable, I was using this for sampling for hip hop. It came loaded with sounds and kits, but I really wants into any of them. I used all of my own sounds drums and samples. This Machine was very stable but it didn’t feel as good as the MPC does. That’s what left me in a blank spot. After messing with it for a little bit I was in love with it, but as time went on it made me miss my MPC.


OVERALL OPINION

I am glad I purchased this item and had the chance to work with it, it just wasn’t for me though, coming from the MPC this didn’t feel real to me. Felt more like a toy, but I can say that it’s a very professional piece of equipment. I have just always been an MPC user and its hard to switch over to different pads when you have been using the same ones for 6 plus years. This was the only model of the Machine that I have tried, I think they did an upgrade or too since then. So it could be better now, maybe I will give it another shot down the road. It connected well with the pc, but if you are using a computer than doesn’t have a lot of RAM then you wont be able to use this. You will experience Latency and other issues. Over all this product was good, just wasn’t for me.

I used to do a lot of freelance beatwork for a few rappers areound Atlanta. Some live and some in the studio. I ended up using maschine a lot for those projects. I found it excelled at sampling and beatmaking in general. I elected to use the Maschine controller with it. I only used it with Maschine. Typically my setup was Maschine running on a laptop with the controller plugged in via usb. In this environment it works wonderfully. In man ways the controller is set up to be a reflection of the software environment on a hardware level. All the most important functions like triggers and manipulation parameters can be controlled from the device. The sixteen pads are very comfortable and sensitive. Looking at them you might not expect much but they are actually quite well made and react great. My favorite feature by far is the transport controls. In a live setting I can't afford to go into the program and make major adjustments between songs and the transport control lets me do this quickly and easily. The encoders also are a nice touch although I rarely need them.

The real strength of this controller is being able to have a visual connection between the software and the buttons you see. In a live situation this allows very fast use and a quick route to get things done. I would say that if you use maschine often at all, you MUST get the controller. I couldn't imagine using maschine without it, especially live. I would be lost. The value is pretty could. Like I said, if you are a maschine user, it's a must buy. The quality is good. Never gave me any trouble. I took it probably 20 or so shows. Recommended if you need triggers and pads especially. Just don't try to use it for what it's not. I can't see this being super useful outside of maschine. At that point its a decent beat pad and that's all.

What thing do you like most/least about it? The software very well think, the controller of very good quality, the 16,000 samples of librairy and being able to happen (almost) entirely on the mouse, VST.

What I like least: Some samples are liners Battery & Kontakt, no good.

I been using it for a year before 1000 and threw on mpc 2000XL c but anyway much Lavoué class must be able to place him in his vst daw.
It is a very good tool for composition. Rytmique and melodic.
Among all that I have tried is the material with which I feel most comfortable composing. After I prefer arrangements for a DAW.
I live for the User Ausi with my group as a Pathogen PILLS classical midi controller. This instrument is really very very good and professional.

I was the possessor of an Akai MPC 2000 forward. Maschine power has nothing to do, it's day and night (well I exaggerate a little perhaps, because I put one to the MPC for grain) after to be quite honest the possibilities offered by Maschine are light years of MPC's (yes even the last 5000 and others). But the grain that is not working ....

Absolutely, my only fear was to have pads that do not respond as well as MPC is still the model. My fears were completely gone. The pads are absolutely perfect, plus they are adjustable. I would do this chosen without a shadow of a doubt!

Native Instruments Maschine Controller is a MIDI based device for use with the beat making program Maschine. They sell this as a pack with the software, but I think you can buy each individually as well if I'm not mistaken, as you can also use the Maschine Controller with other software since it's a general MIDI device. I've used it only with the Maschine software itself, as of course since it's designed for use with it, everything matches up in terms of the interface of the software and the controls on this MIDI device. The controller is quite in depth and really a great thing to have if you're using Maschine. It's got MIDI connections for input and output, but it also has a USB port which is going to be the best way to use it if you're using it with the Maschine software. On the controller itself you'll find a ton of different controls for the software, including a transport section, trigger pads a la an MPC, sound parameter controls, and a whole lot more. Pretty much everything you'll find in the software will be paralleled in some way or another on the controller. I can't speak much to using this outside of Maschine, but I probably wouldn't recommend it even though it is possible, as it's really well designed for use with Maschine. I don't know what the differences in price would be for this with and without the software, but I'd really only check it out thoroughly if you're using Maschine or are looking to get the combo of this MIDI controller and the software together. For those who choose to go this route, you're getting one of the best pieces of software out there for making grooves. For those who already have Maschine, I'd highly recommend checking out the controller as it can save you a lot of time and makes using the software all that much easier.

Native Instruments' Maschine software is designed to turn your computer into a beat production studio. Paired with the Maschine controller, it's some of the most in depth software and hardware combo out there for making beats and grooves. You can use Maschine as either a stand alone piece of software or as a plug-in in Logic or another DAW. Included in the software is a sequencer, sampler, and a sample library, as well as effects and the MIDI controller that helps control everything. I don't own Maschine but I work often at a producer's home studio as his engineer and he uses this all the time for making drum patterns. The software will definitely take some time to learn all the ins and outs of as there is a ton you can do with it between all the features. As with any software there is a learning curve, but I've found Maschine to be pretty user friendly for the most part. The manual is probably something you're going to want to have around if you're just getting started with Maschine.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The studio that I've used Native Instruments Maschine on is Pro Tools HD based, but also has Logic Pro. The producer who owns the studio uses it in both DAW's, while the computer being used is a G5 desktop that's more than capable of handling a lot of tasks at once. Definitely make sure you have a pretty strong system before purchasing Maschine if you want to use it to it's full capacity.

OVERALL OPINION

Native Instruments' Maschine is definitely up there with the best, if not the best, groove production pieces of software that I've used. When paired with the in depth and very helpful MIDI controller, you've never had more control over making your beats. There are literally no restrictions with this - only your imagination. Unfortunately Maschine has to purchased individually and isn't included with Komplete or anything like that, but even so it's certainly worth a good look at for anyone making music with your DAW. With more and more people doing everything in the box, Maschine (or something or comparable quality) is becoming highly necessary to have in any working studio environment.

I use it for another week.
So the sounds are tops! it sounds serious to serious.
Banks are provided copious and quality.
Besides that you can access to banks (more precisely, samples) contained in your own NI software, import your own details. Wav or. Aiff, repulpable it all ways of moults, the play ... the pads are an impressive sensitivity and we finally explore more and enjoy it.

The possibilities are incredible, endless creative possibilities, the software as the machine is extremely well designed. One can do the same thing as the other, in all respects (except for a subtlety when importing its own samples), and can do so many things you need to take time to discover the beast and read the manual. The longer it goes, the easier and more we are amazed at the marvel of design, implementation and production Maschine.
And it's really, really cool to play))

Purchased from OCCAZ in a music store so AC was complicated to unlock the maschine, I stayed one month with the demo!! Make sure the previous owner has taken appropriate action if c is galley.

Apple mac book pro 2x2.4ghz, 4g of ram: c is super stable and not greedy. on the other hand latency quite disturbing when I plug in uses logic. So I made up in stand alone and I mix in Logic.

I'm posting this review because I found the overall score is too low. But most of the difficulties encountered in previous opinions have been resolved with the SHIFT.
I've had 7 / 8 months, I've had a lot of machines and soft: mpc, Electribe, Kaoss Pad, x0x roland, Guru, Battery, etc. MPD32 ...
The +: - Absorbed power from soft to hard with the ergonomics, features are extensive yet simple both in publishing the game live or post production.
- Effects "dj" are funny especially the grain stretch (Reminds me of the KAOSS PAD)
- The SHIFT!
The -: - No TimeStretch!!
- Maschine latency when used in plug (logic)
- The effects for "the mix" as the eq and compressor that I find just passable.
The price / quality ratio is excellent compared to mpc this maschine is really great finish hardware too expensive and not very powerful and galleys of soft non-ergonomic controllers with unsuitable, especially for a 400 euro occaz.Sans hesitation I remake this choice except perhaps for the new version when released ....

That I was a few days ago, and really amazing, easy use, great sounds sold on DVD, PC recently needed to be much in use, the installation is done without problem, I used with windows vita, the update is done via the internet without problem, the advice I can given the MASCHINE is plug into the USB port first and do the installation with the second DVD, manual is just basically for a more technical to go into the folder that the manual is installed on the PC hard disk. Illuminated pads I thought it made gadgets, but not all of it oddly makes its use especially in STEP mode, to create his percussion instruments, sample mode, the slicing is great too, something super important so we can control the MASCHINE from the console without having to look on the screen of the computer each time it is a really excellent MASCHINE, we can all do with a can I know the mpc, it is overtaken by MASCHINE for both Price, usage, sound, features, and quality, all my choice is made .. and now I recommande.Bon sounds at all ..... I hesitated between MASCHINE and a mpc 1000, after long reflection, and professional advice, I chose MASCHINE.
What I like most is its use easy, its illuminated pads, connecting its MIDI IN & OUT, quality of housing, and the sounds pads.et sold and the total control of the console MASCHINE and not being forced to watch the PC screen for all functions.
